XIII. The Body of Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross

Although no tears are shown on Our Lady's face, we know her sorrow: Jesus has died.  This wonderful window is a pieta, which is an invitation for our compassion towards Mary as she embraces the corpse of Her Son.  Christ's wounds are all displayed except for the one that Mary tenderly holds.  Our salvation has cost the life of the perfect man-the God Man, Jesus Christ.  May we, like Mary, treasure the graces that flow from His Passion.
