VIII. Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

Kneeling before Jesus are the faithful women of Jerusalem.  Whereas all the apostles (except for John) have run away, the women have journeyed with Christ to His Death.  As they lament His sufferings, Jesus prophecies the destruction that will befall Jerusalem for choosing the world over God.  Once again, we see the faithful looking upon the Face of Jesus and  being consoled by it.  On the top of the window we see a thurible, empty and ready for incense.  This foretells the discovery, by these women, of the empty tomb when they will go to prepare His Body.
