VII. Jesus Falls the Second Time

In this station we see Our Lord exhausted after His fall. The Roman soldier stands with the Cross and kicks Jesus to get Him up again. In the back-ground we see Jerusalem on the side of the Roman. On the top of the window we see the reeds that the soldiers struck Jesus with as well as the Crown of Thorns that they mocked Him with. Like a sheep going to the slaughter, Jesus does not cry out but with great humility suffers for us.
