Nancy P. Zielinsky (nee Stucker), age 78, passed away peacefully at Ames Family Hospice of the Western Reserve on July 4, 2018 to join the Lord. Our beloved Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. She was born in Cleveland, OH and was raised by her two uncles, James and Paul, in Garfield Heights. Married to her husband, Rudolph, for 57 beautiful years. She was a loving mother of Mary (husband, Matthew), Patricia (husband, Joseph), Christine (husband, Paul), and John (wife, Theresa). Devoted grandmother to ten children: Kevin (wife, Meghan), Alex, Joshua, Katelin (husband, Matthew), Evan, Madeline, Theresa, and Alayna. Doting great-grandmother of Cayden and Lucas. Nancy also was a loving sister to Sally. Nancy cherished all her family and friends of over 50 years, and they have been a constant support of comfort throughout her life. In Nancy's own words, "I love you all, goodbye." Lastly, a quote that Nancy lived by and that all her friends and family saw her illuminate in her life, "The sunshine of her smile made life worthwhile." James Pobega age 77 years, passed away June 12, 2018. with his family by his side. Son of Frank and Amelia (Colarig) Pobega. James "Jim" was retired from Bedford City Schools. Loving brother of Ricardo Pobega, former husband and cherished friend of Carolyn Pobega (nee Sorrente); beloved father of Tina Ulanowski, James Pobega, Lisa Rediger, Gina Peachey and Michael Pobega; proud grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 7. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Blanche Koth, Lucy Perren, Frank Pobega, Rita Hudak, and Agnes Perren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 at St Therese Parish 5276 E 105th St, Cleveland, OH 44125. Visitation begins at 9:00 am with Catholic mass following at 10:00 am.

Anthony Tortorici age 103; beloved husband of the late Janet (nee Ettari); loving father of Joseph A. (deceased) (Roberta, deceased), Anthony J. (Antoinette S.), and James A. Dennis J. Svihlik, age 71, of Garfield Heights, Ohio and of Kelleys Island, Ohio; beloved husband of the late JoAnn R. Svihlik (nee Kazak) who passed away suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2018; loving father of D.J. Svihlik (Laura), Chris Svihlik (Lara), and Greg Svihlik (Rachael); dear grandpa of Benjamin, Katie, Claire, and Johnny; cherished brother of Joyce McCann (Ron, deceased), and the late Jack Svihlik. Dennis passed away peacefully on Sunday May 27, 2018. In 2000, after more than 30 years of service, Dennis retired from the Parma Police Department. He loved hunting, fishing, and making others laugh. A devoted father and grandpa, Dennis was a loving husband for over 41 years. Dennis loved Myrtle Beach family vacations and Kelleys Island sunsets with his beloved wife JoAnn. Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew his strength. JoAnn R. Svihlik (nee Kazak), age 65, of Garfield Heights, Ohio and of Kelleys Island, Ohio; beloved wife of the late Dennis J. Svihlik who passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2018; loving mother of D.J. Svihlik (Laura), Chris Svihlik (Lara), and Greg Svihlik (Rachael); dear grandma of Benjamin, Katie, Claire, and Johnny; cherished sister of Jim Kazak (Marion, deceased), the late John Kazak (Elaine), and the late Joe Kazak (Judy). JoAnn passed away suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2018. JoAnn loved fishing with her beloved husband Dennis of 41 years. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. JoAnn was the backbone of her family, and enjoyed being a grandma. She loved to cook traditional family recipes. Holidays with family were JoAnn's most cherished times. Collecting shark's teeth at Myrtle Beach and enjoying Kelleys Island sunsets were some of her happiest moments. A woman of strong faith, JoAnn will be dearly missed by all who knew her giving spirit. Thomas A. Novak, Jr., 82, of Garfield Heights. Beloved husband of Particia (nee Sciranko) for 57 years. Passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2018. Thomas is survived by his children, Timothy, Allison Nicholson (James), Scott (Sharon), and Dale (Holly); grandchildren, Sarah, Samantha, Matthew, Gavin and Olivia. He will be missed by his devoted dog Darcie. His hobbies included fishing, listening to Polka music, scratching lottery tickets and most of all bowling in which he accomplished a 300 game on March 24, 1997. Dorothy A. Dimonski (nee McFadden), age 87.  Beloved wife of the late Steve; loving mother of Mary Jane Becker (deceased), Susan, Steven, and Kim Ferencz; cherished grandmother of Kelsey and Hayden; dear sister of nine.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, at St. Therese Church, 5276 E. 105th St., Garfield Hts. Eleanor Delores Jarosz age 92, of Canton (formerly of Cleveland) passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 14th shortly after noon in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Marie (Ochocki) Vanek. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Thaddeus (Ted) Jarosz and her beloved daughter, Beverly. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Carol (Dr. Paul) Bartos of Canton, grandchildren: Dr. Sarah (Dr. Adam) Smith of East Thetford, VT, Dr. Emily (Hank) Moore of Goshen, IN, Dr. Patrick (Dr. Cristy Coughlin) of Portland, OR, and Christopher (Emily Walker) Bartos of Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren: Levi Paul Smith, Iris Adelaide Smith, Isaac Amasa Moore, and Stella Marie Moore. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17th at 10:00 am in St. Therese Catholic Church in Garfield Hts., OH with Fr. John Schneider as celebrant. Raymond J. Hlavaty age 99. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Liskey) for 71 years. Dear father of John (Shirley). Loving grandfather "Poppy" of Maureen Hirt (Jeffery), Mellisa Arko (Rick) and Martin (Danielle). Great grandfather of Aaron, Ryan and Styles. Ann L. Myers, (nee Wierbowski), age 92. Beloved wife of the late Daniel; loving mother of Keith (deceased) and Kevin (Debbie); cherished grandmother of Brandan (Jennifer) and Bryan, and great-grandmother of Eamon, Eve, and Elaine; dear sister of the following deceased: Isabel Bonchonski and Nell Silvestro. Joseph W. Putka, 83, a true Christian gentleman, died peacefully following the progression of Lewy Body Disease and is now resting at peace with his Lord. He is the son of the late Joseph and Anna Putka, and loving brother of the following deceased: Edward (Florence), Raymond (Jane), and Joan Putinski (Edward). He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria. Joe deeply loved his children Patricia (Frank) Ondrish, Steven (Wendy) Putka, Mary Beth (Tomás) Castañeda, and Dan (Juliane) Putka, and he was a loving Poppy to sixteen grandchildren: Nicolle, Heather Lee (Jon), Ryan, Joe, Paul (deceased), Rachel, Chad, Grace Ahlqvist (Jakob), Sam, Marie Teresa, Tomás, Luis, Alexa, Sarah, Ben, Emily, two great-grandchildren, Faith and Ember, numerous caring nieces, nephews, and special friends. Joe was a graduate of Holy Name High School. Upon graduation he served his nation in the Army, stationed first at Fort Monmouth where he met the love of his life, Gloria, and later in Korea. Following his military service, Joe worked his entire career for Western Electric/AT&T, earning numerous commendations for exemplary work as a project manager. Joe was a natural athlete and enjoyed the friendships he built as both player and coach. Joe served God in many ways, including years of devoted service at St. Therese Church and Garfield Heights Knights of Columbus #4130. He will be best known for the love and laughs he shared so abundantly with family and friends. Helen R. "Corky" Holovach (nee Lorek), age 94, of Garfield Heights, Ohio, passed away on January 10, 2018. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 8, 1924. Beloved Wife of the late George P. Sr. for 58 years. Loving Mom to Linda Kramer (Bruce), Debbie Dyer (Dave), and George P. Jr. (Sonia). Grandma to Lindsi McCrone (Justin), Hether, Phillip, and Devin Dyer. Great Grandma to Braeden Kahl and Levi. Daughter of the late Simon and Sophie. Sister of Walter and the following deceased: Frank, Stanley, Joseph, John, Anne, and Angie.
